Mark is an energetic and professional 2006 addition to the Windermere team. Although new to Real Estate sales, he is not new to business and customer service. Following an 18-month mobilization and deployment with nearly 12 months in Baghdad supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, and facing an eminent relocation to another state, Mark chose to end his private club management career and enter real estate. Having worked in Seattle and commuted on the Ferry for nearly five years, Mark has a special talent for assisting buyers who wish to relocate from Seattle to the Bremerton area and still commute to Seattle or its surrounding business centers. Mark believes understanding the “Big Picture” without overlooking the smallest of details is key to any successful transaction. He believes in low-pressure customer service, attention to detail, honesty and timely communication and follow-up.
Mark’s experience is a balance between his business education, military training and real-world deployment and business expertise. Mark graduated from the University of Washington School Business with a focus in marketing and received an Officer’s commission in the United States Army Reserve. Immediately prior to joining Windermere, Mark served the Columbia Tower Club, the most prestigious private business club in the Northwest for seven years. When he finally ended his tenure, he had served in two department manager positions; the Club Accountant and Director, Food and Beverage. Between positions at the Columbia Tower Club, Mark spent three years inside a rapidly growing technology and internet marketing company where he managed the account management team responsible for over 120 million dollars of advertising contracts. Mark was instrumental establishing world-class customer service and streamlining business operations.
In is alternate life, Captain Mark Broderick is an active member of the Washington Army National Guard currently serving on the Brigade Planning and Operations staff with the 81st Brigade Combat Team in Seattle. Previously, Mark spent ten years assigned to Company B, 1-303rd Armor Battalion, Bremerton, starting out as an ROTC Cadet, Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and ultimately Commanding Officer. During his tenure of leadership and Command, Captain Broderick’s Company enjoyed the coveted “Top Company” and “Top Gun” awards for tank gunnery and overall combat effectiveness for eight of ten years. His recent deployment to Iraq resulted in the 100% return of his soldiers with no combat casualties or injuries – a testament to the leadership and training within the Company. Following his deployment, Captain Broderick received the Bronze Star Medal for Service in Iraq and the Meritorious Service medal for exemplary service during his four-year Command.
Mark believes in stewardship of his community. Mark fought the military bureaucracy and obtained permission for an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank and a M2A2 Bradley Fighting vehicle to participate in the Bremerton Armed Forces Day parade. The unit received “Crowd Favorite” and “Best Military Unit” in 2003 and 2005. Mark is an active member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church in Bremerton where he serves as a Trustee helping to maintain and upgrade the 60-year old building.
